KOL Data Layer — aggregate wallet data for
analytics and AI

A KOL data API for dashboards, models and agents: trading volume, transaction counts, most traded tokens, top performers and win rates of tracked KOL, Smart Money and Whale wallets over REST, plus the raw trade flow over WebSocket. Historical data goes back to February 2025.

Use Case · KOL Data Layer

Aggregate KOL and Smart Money data with REST and WebSocket

What it shows

Totals instead of single trades. The volume endpoint returns the total trading volume of tracked wallets in a time window of up to 24 hours, in native currency and USD; the count endpoint returns how many transactions they made in the same window. Both accept an optional mint to measure one token.

The analytics endpoint answers four questions for a period of 6 hours, 1 day, 7 days or 30 days: which tokens are most traded (wallet count, volume, net flow, buying pressure), which wallets are top performers, what the win rate across wallets looks like (including how many wallets traded in the period), and how volume trends over time. Token stats, wallet connections and historical cluster signals add per-token and per-wallet context.

How it works

Pick the endpoint by question. For activity in the last hour, call volume or count with hours=1. For rankings and trends, call analytics with a mode (most_traded, top_performers, win_rate or volume_trend) and a period. For raw rows, latest returns the most recent transactions and timerange returns every transaction in a window of up to 60 minutes, each with trader profile and position after the trade.

For continuous collection, subscribe to the tx WebSocket stream and store each position_update event as it arrives. For backtesting, signals history returns the cluster signals that would have fired on past days with triggered_at, so you can line them up against price data from your own source. Every plan, including the free tier, includes historical data since February 2025.

Supported chains: Solana, BNB Chain, Base, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain (blockchain values solana, bnb, base, eth and rh). Solana has KOL, Smart Money and Whale wallets; BNB Chain, Base and Robinhood Chain have KOL and Smart Money; Ethereum has KOL wallets.

Quick start

Get a free key from the API dashboard (10,000 credits per month, no credit card), then:

REST · cURL (volume, last hour)
curl "https://api.cabalspy.xyz/v1/transactions/volume?blockchain=solana&type=kol&hours=1&api_key=YOUR_KEY"
REST · JavaScript (most traded tokens)
const p = new URLSearchParams({
  blockchain: "solana", type: "kol", mode: "most_traded",
  period: "7d", limit: "20", api_key: "YOUR_KEY",
});
const res = await fetch(`https://api.cabalspy.xyz/v1/analytics?${p}`);
const { data } = await res.json();
data.data.forEach(t => console.log(t.rank, t.token_name, t.total_volume));
REST · cURL (signals history)
curl "https://api.cabalspy.xyz/v1/signals/history?blockchain=solana&type=kol&days=7&api_key=YOUR_KEY"

Who builds this

  • Analytics dashboards — KOL volume, activity counts and most traded tokens as ready-made aggregates
  • AI agents and models — labeled wallet activity as input for sentiment analysis and training data
  • Quant and research teams — backtest cluster strategies against historical signals
  • Trading terminals — activity indicators and sparklines without pulling every transaction

Frequently asked questions

01

What is a KOL data API?

A KOL data API returns the on-chain activity of labeled wallets (KOLs, Smart Money and Whales) in a structured form. CabalSpy offers it as REST endpoints for aggregates such as total volume, transaction counts, most traded tokens and win rates, and as WebSocket streams that push every trade as it happens.

02

How do I get the total KOL trading volume for the last hour?

Call GET https://api.cabalspy.xyz/v1/transactions/volume with blockchain, type (kol, smart or whale) and hours=1. The response contains volume in native currency, volume_usd and time_window_seconds. Add mint to measure a single token. The window can be up to 24 hours; GET /v1/transactions/count returns the number of transactions for the same window.

03

Which tokens are KOLs trading the most?

Call GET https://api.cabalspy.xyz/v1/analytics with mode=most_traded, a blockchain, a wallet type and a period (6h, 1d, 7d or 30d). Each item includes rank, token, the number of tracked wallets that traded it, total volume, total buy and sell, net flow and buying pressure.

04

Can I use CabalSpy data for sentiment analysis or AI training?

Yes. The data is labeled by wallet category (KOL, Smart Money, Whale) and available as aggregates over REST and as a live trade stream over WebSocket. Historical data since February 2025 is included in every plan, and the signals history endpoint returns past cluster signals with timestamps for backtesting.

05

How far back does the historical data go?

CabalSpy lists historical data since February 2025 on every plan, including the free tier. Per-wallet lifetime trade logs are available through the wallet history endpoint; the aggregate volume and count endpoints cover windows of up to 24 hours and the analytics endpoint covers periods of up to 30 days.
