KOL Chart Events — KOL buys and sells on
every candle
A KOL chart API for trading terminals: every buy and sell of a tracked KOL, Smart Money or Whale wallet arrives over one WebSocket stream with trader profile, trade value and timestamp — ready to place as a marker on the candle where it happened.

Put KOL trades on your chart with one stream
What it shows
KOL chart events are small markers on a price chart at the moment a tracked wallet trades: green for a buy, red for a sell, placed on the candle where it happened. A trader can read a buy marker as a possible entry and a sell marker as an exit, or study the pattern to see how KOLs time their trades.
Each event carries what a marker and its tooltip need: the wallet’s public profile (name, avatar, X/Twitter, Telegram), the action (buy or sell), the trade value in native currency and USD, the trade timestamp, and the wallet’s position after the trade — tokens held, percent of supply and percent of its peak bag still held.
How it works
Open a WebSocket to wss://stream.cabalspy.xyz and subscribe to the tx stream with a chain, a wallet type and the token address. Every matching trade is delivered as a position_update event. Use transaction.created_at for the marker time, transaction.action for the color and value.amount_usd for the size or label. To show KOL, Smart Money and Whale trades together, send one subscribe message per wallet type on the same connection.
The stream only delivers trades from the moment you subscribe. To fill the chart with earlier markers, call the REST transactions endpoint for the token once: it returns the individual buys and sells of tracked wallets, newest first, each with created_at, transaction_type, value_usd and the trader profile. You need a chart that accepts markers, for example TradingView Lightweight Charts or the TradingView Charting Library.
Supported chains: Solana, BNB Chain, Base, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain (blockchain values solana, bnb, base, eth and rh). Solana has KOL, Smart Money and Whale wallets; BNB Chain, Base and Robinhood Chain have KOL and Smart Money; Ethereum has KOL wallets.
Quick start
Get a free key from the API dashboard (10,000 credits per month, no credit card), then:
const ws = new WebSocket("wss://stream.cabalspy.xyz?apiKey=YOUR_KEY");
ws.onopen = () => {
ws.send(JSON.stringify({
op: "subscribe", stream: "tx", blockchain: "solana", type: "kol", token: "*",
}));
};
ws.onmessage = (e) => {
const msg = JSON.parse(e.data);
if (msg.event === "position_update") {
const d = msg.data;
console.log(d.profile.name, d.transaction.action, d.token.symbol, d.position.bag_pct);
}
};{
"op": "subscribe",
"stream": "tx",
"blockchain": "base",
"type": "smart",
"token": "0xYourTokenContractAddress"
}curl "https://api.cabalspy.xyz/v1/tokens/transactions?blockchain=solana&mint=3Pkrq4MmLvDXyn1fa3sz5MekKRkZkc1iLDcz5AzWpump&limit=50&api_key=YOUR_KEY"Who builds this
- Trading terminals — KOL buy and sell markers on the token chart users already watch
- Charting tools — a smart money layer on top of TradingView or custom candles
- Copy-trading apps — show where the wallet you follow entered and exited a token
- Analysts — study how KOLs time entries and exits against price action
Frequently asked questions
01How do I show KOL trades on a chart?
Open a WebSocket to wss://stream.cabalspy.xyz with your API key and send a subscribe message with stream "tx", a blockchain, a wallet type (kol, smart or whale) and the token address. Each trade arrives as a position_update event. Add a chart marker at transaction.created_at, green when transaction.action is buy and red when it is sell.
02Can I add KOL markers to a TradingView chart?
Yes. You need a chart you can add markers to, for example TradingView Lightweight Charts or the TradingView Charting Library. CabalSpy delivers the trade events (time, buy or sell, value, trader profile); your code turns each event into a marker on the chart.
03How do I load KOL trades that happened before the user opened the chart?
Call GET https://api.cabalspy.xyz/v1/tokens/transactions with blockchain and mint. It returns the individual buy and sell transactions of tracked wallets on that token, newest first, each with created_at, transaction_type, value and the trader profile. Draw those as markers first, then keep the chart live with the tx WebSocket stream.
04Which chains does the KOL chart events stream support?
The transactions stream accepts the blockchain values solana, bnb, base, eth and rh (Robinhood Chain). Solana tracks KOL, Smart Money and Whale wallets; BNB Chain, Base and Robinhood Chain track KOL and Smart Money; Ethereum tracks KOL wallets.
05What does the KOL chart API cost?
Each delivered WebSocket event costs 1 credit and each REST request costs 10 credits. The free tier includes 10,000 credits per month. Subscribing to a single token instead of the wildcard "*" keeps the number of delivered events low.
